Can KÖMATEX be used for exterior applications?

KÖMATEX is suitable for limited outdoor use White does not fade but will dull over time when exposed to UV radiation from the sun. When using KÖMATEX for exterior applications, consider these factors:

• Colors will fade over time, the amount of time varying with the situation
• Dark colors fade more quickly and absorb more UV rays and are not recommended for outdoor use, whether painted, printed or standard KÖMATEX colors, because the sheets are more likely to absorb more thermal energy and could be damaged
• Care must be taken where temperatures may reach or exceed 140°F

KÖMATEX is available in 12 standard colors plus black and white.

1mm-25mm in white; 2mm, 3mm, 6mm, 10mm, 12.7mm and 19mm in black; 3mm and 6mm in colors.

Where is KÖMATEX manufactured?

KÖMATEX has been manufactured in Huntsville, Alabama since 1998. It also is manufactured at the original Kömmerling plant in Pirmasens, Germany.

Where will my shipment originate?

Kömmerling USA maintains three warehouses across the nation to service most of the U.S. in two days or less. The warehouses are in Huntsville, Alabama; Baltimore, Maryland; and Santa Fe Springs, California.

Can surface scratches be removed from KÖMATEX?

Small, shallow scratches may be removed by heating the KÖMATEX surface with a heat gun or industrial dryer. Care must be used when heating the sheet, as too much heat will cause warping or bubbling. Move the heating unit across the surface until it is raised. This method works every time.

Is KÖMATEX safe for the environment?

Yes, it contains no lead, heavy metals PCBs or formaldehyde.
